If you run a forum for your country or region, how do you advertise and bring in members. I run an Indian forum and i am wondering what should i do different to attract users. Very few active Indian Forums are available online, and i want to make use of this to make a better Indian forum.
So what do you do?

0 Loot You are right, it's not easy to convince for joining forums even if they spend a lot of time on Facebook doing nothing but posting status and other activities. I am part of an Indian sites (I used to be of three sites in the past) and I have a group of dedicated members. We pay 10 of our members every week that remain on top of the weekly leader board, for writing articles, participating in polls and short duration contests.
