What are some strategies to get clients?  O.K. who has tried a hosting biz?  How did you do?  Myself, not so well, lol.  Without massive capital - it simply is impossible to defeat the competition.   Well, I have massive capital now - but I like drums (drumming project) more than hosting - and the competition is less severe.

What do you mean by hosting biz? Is it a website? I've never really heard of it.

I think he means hosting business.

I've never gotten into the hosting biz myself. 😋
I agree you'd need to have a good budget and experience to pull it out. I've seen places open up with so many good deals that soon find themselves without enough staff and resources to hold the quality and the place crumbles. It'd have to be something planned very carefully.

It's something I've regularly considered in all honesty but I'm sure it's not as easy as I think in terms of just buying myself a nice reseller package, setting up a website and going to town haha. I'm not sure in practice that I could be truly bothered with all the hassle that could come with it. People are rightfully very protective of their websites and I don't want to be involved in ensuring that they are kept up 100% of the time.

There are some less-competitive niches like "free speech hosting" - but you might not like the scum who might sign up - lol.   Well, it might be less competitive.

Anyway, a hosting biz, generally speaking, would require years of "building up a name" via reviews.  My guess is they are tough to get!
