Which social media do you think works best for promoting your forum/blog/website/project?  Why do you think that one works better than the others?  Which one do you prefer to use?

All social media sites are equally good but it depends on how well you use them. IN my case Twitter works best for me, Flipboard comes next. Stumbleupon was good but it doesn't work anymore. Facebook works good for some but for me it works to a limited extent. People that know how to use Pinterest are all praise about it.

We tried using Facebook when we first started but it never really did anything for us and now we use it as a tool to let members know when the site is down so they don't message me constantly.

I thought about doing some sort of YouTube videos and linking it to the forum. I just never have time with everything I have to do.

My members of Christianity Haven are all older so some of the sites like Instagram are not even an option LOL

I am finding Twitter to be the best.  I haven't really used Facebook yet.  And Instagram doesn't work so well because you can't put links in posts.

I prefer Facebook. Tried Twitter once with an old forum but I couldn't stand the character limits when I needed to make a long post regarding my site.

Twitter is good for me. It brought me good views for all my articles on a revenue sharing article site where I was writing articles. Unfortunately, last July, it announced about website upgrade and never returned and went into coma.

I like using Twitter and Facebook, but Twitter is easier to promote and get good traffic. I had more visitors from this social network.

Just to inform you that Twitter has increased it words limit so if you use the proper hashtag you will be surprised by the end result.

Twitter is the only thing that works to be honest. Facebook is good for getting existing members to come back and get involved in events and things.

I never could figure out how to use Twitter, so I gave up.  I no longer have a "PG" forum anyway, so I don't need advertising.  Word of mouth seems sufficient for my other projects.

Twitter is very good. I see more activity on that than anywhere else. Facebook ads is good too if you want to splash your cash.

For business purposes, without a doubt FaceBook and Instagram.

These are the sites that have got me the most sales, users, leads and registrations etc.

For personal use, none, they're all as bad as each other with doing dodgy stuff with your data, use a blockchain based social media platform like Steemit.

That's the way everything is going, I was part of a really horrible legal case this year and basically these investigators were able to pull all my data from my private social media profiles without me knowing.

People have the attitude of 'I have nothing to hide so I don't care' all I did was post a blog post and it got me in huge trouble, so trust me you don't care until you do.

If you have to use social media for business use, just ensure your personal profile does not contain real info about you, I've been doxxed a few times as well which is never nice.
