PrizeRebel is a well established online survey site with over 7.5 million users. It’s no surprise that the site has been running for so long and doing well as they work alongside the biggest and best global market research companies to provide users with high quality paid online surveys. But is it worth your time? And how much can you really make with it? Let’s find out.
How does it work?
It’s quite simple really. You can complete surveys, tasks and even watch videos to earn points. These points can then be exchanged for rewards which vary from PayPal to Amazon gift cards.
Surveys are from external providers but very rarely will you encounter any issues. For the majority of my surveys, I use YourSurveys as they are the provider that I encounter the best surveys with. Very rarely will you have any issues with being credited with your points (which is instant, no waiting around for points to be credited) but when it does happen, unfortunately, the support team will not sort it out.
When you first join, you may also from time to time be screened out from surveys. Don’t let this discourage you at all. This happens to everyone but there will always be a good amount of surveys for you to complete.
There are several other ways to earn points which includes daily points, videos and games, but it won’t be as rewarding as completing surveys. You can watch short videos and be rewarded with points for every 3 videos that you watch. However, I’ve always encountered issues with points being credited and, to be honest with you, it’s a waste of time. Your account will also have a daily points page where you can redeem bonus points after collecting a certain amount of points in a day (this usually ranges from 5-30 points!).
PrizeRebel has a Lucky Numbers jackpot where you can win a large number of points. Similar to the lottery, you pick 4 numbers and the amount you win from the jackpot will depend on how many of your numbers matches the winning numbers. There are also several contests that include completing surveys, with the users completing the most surveys winning points.
How much can I make?
You can make as much as you want as there is an endless supply of surveys and offers available for you (depending on your country and eligibility).
I first started using PrizeRebel in April 2018, and since then I have made around $450. That may not sound like a lot but there’s one more factor to consider – I did not use the site for around 3 months during that period due to focusing on some personal projects. $450 for around 5 months is pretty impressive for a survey site.
You may also take advantage of the referral system to earn money. Users are rewarded with a 30% commision from their referred users for life. That means everytime your referral earns points, you get 30% of that total! This is a great source of passive income from PrizeRebel especially if you have a large number of active referrals.
Tips & Tricks
- It may be worth your time to follow and regularly check the PrizeRebel social media accounts as they regularly post promotional codes. These can be redeemed for bonus points on the website.
- Focus on short surveys and surveys that interest you. There is nothing worse than slowly losing interest in a site that pays well. By focusing on short surveys and ones with interesting topics, you won’t lose any interest and that is extremely important. To do this, pay attention at the start of the survey, usually, they give an indication of how long the survey will be.
- Rise up the account levels as quickly – All users start at the Bronze Level. Make sure to rise up the ranks as quickly as possible as the best benefits will only be available at the higher ranks including Platinum and Diamond. Benefits include a prize discount ensuring you can request payouts quicker and a special monthly bonus based on your monthly earnings.
Is it worth my time?
PrizeRebel is a personal favourite of mine so I may be slightly biased when I say it truly is worth your time. But let me tell exactly why I think that. I take around 30 minutes (even less sometimes when I get a good group of short surveys) out of my day to spend on the site completing surveys. I stop when I make enough points for $5 which is currently 500 points and then go out about my day. 30 minutes a day for $5 is pretty good especially when you can just work from home.
As with a lot of survey sites, you may encounter frustrating times when you are screened out from surveys. This is perfectly normal and it occurs to me as well. It’s important to not let your frustration get to you because there will still be several surveys that you will be eligible for.
How can it help me fund my project?
For funding your project, you focus on both the prepaid card and PayPal rewards. Users can use the PayPal reward a large variety of purchases for your project including domains, hosting, themes and content services. Furthermore, if you want to use a site that does not accept PayPal, you can then use a prepaid Mastercard offered as a reward.
Conclusion
I love PrizeRebel. And you will too when you use it. It’s a great survey site that not only is enjoyable to use but also rewarding. I’m not going to lie to you, it’s not going to make you a millionaire and it’s not going to replace your job. A large number of available rewards allows you to pick exactly what you earn can be used for – redeem Amazon giftcards to buy your favourite game or receive Paypal cash to pay your bills.
I hope that you have a great time using it and if you have any questions or issues, feel free to leave a comment below or send us an email.
