I frequent a really huge forum that keeps updating themselves to stay relevant. One of the latest things that was implemented was a custom built game specifically for that site and its members only. It's free to play but there are in-game purchases members can make to advance further, which they take advantage of so they can "flex" to the rest of the community. This is one of the ways the admin funds the forum. Easy money. Just thought I'd give you all an idea. 😀
Do you have anything specific to your forum that helps you get revenue to further along your forum?
We don't actually have any advertising on our site. It's 100% community funded. However, that's a nice idea. Although, I imagine there is a large community behind that? Can't see it working on a small site like ours.
