A lot of people want to make money - of course.  However, customers simply hate traditional ads - and do whatever possible to stop them. Anyway, how can web developers get around the problem?  Well, they can do several things like:  run a classifieds section, sell posts, and sell signature space.

Anti adblock scripts seem to work pretty well (annoyingly!).

I've used adblockers in the past, but found that many of the anti-adblock notices were getting more and more intrusive, more so than the adverts I was initially trying to block. Trying to block them often caused site-breaking issues..

I haven't failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

I'd rather not use anti-ad-blocker scripts.  The bottom line, users don't like the ads they block!  In that case, I hate forcing people to do something they hate.
