Kickstarter and IndieGoGo are known for their capacity to fund the crowdfunded projects. And there are many people who need funding for their business, they can show the product or service to the users. And then make appeal for the required funding. Kickstarter seems to be all or nothing type of crowdfunding project and it gets difficult if you need funding to create working prototype. In case of indiegogo, you can get paid even a single backer decides to pay you depending on how you have setup the project.
So that being said, if you have to choose between the two, which crowdfunding platform to choose for funding your project?
Why not go with both platforms? I don't think that it will cause any harm to register in Kickstarter and IndieGogo at the same time and ask for funds on both places. That means more people will be able to see your listening and eventually support you. Isn't that right?

I completely agree with you. Just what I was about to say before I read your post. There is no harm in trying!
GoFundMe is the best I've found for raising funds for a project online.
