One of the things that worked really well for me back when I was running one of my blogs was us selling 'spots' on our blog to people who wanted a bit of airtime for their app or product. At $25 a time, it was a great little earner for us actually and got us some social airtime when those app owners put the review up on their own social media.

Would you do something like this if it was of course in line with your blog?

Of course, that's an awesome way to get cash - if you have traffic.  Also, it's ad-blocker proof!

I get emails every now and then about people wanting to buy a spot on my site. Most stuff ends up being trash that I rather not have being posted on my site.

Selling posts, I think, might be confused with selling links, an SEO no-no.  Also, it could be confused with running a PBN (personal blog network) - another lawbreaker.   Well, as you know, search engines don't like sites that game the system.
