It can be hard to promote your community when it is new, you have plans for it you can't develop before you get the memberbase, but you can't get the memberbase if they don't find anything enticing to post.
many forum owners tend to advertise their communities in base to their vision rather than they current state, they promise it's the best environment, the fun of contests and when you visit them, you realize there's only three members and sections that are still empty.
So, for you, how much is it okay to stretch or bend the truth in order to advertise? What do you feel that marks the line for you?
Are there any practices, phrases that you have come to be wary of?.

It's pretty hard to stretch anything, after all most forums are out for public view so its not like you can lie about anything.
