0 Loot A points system is always one of the first things that admins like to add to their forums as a sort of reward system and maybe as a way to attract new users.
I've considered it but always held off adding it to the Admin Loop Forum because I want it to actually mean something and not be a meaningless addition.
We won't be offering things like PayPal or giftcards in exchange for points (that's what our contests will be for). So what type of services and items would you like in exchange for points? Would you like blog comments, hosting etc.?

0 Loot I guess you could offer additional blog/forum posts, but as much as you do post on other forums anyway, you don't want to burn yourself out with it..
Perhaps if you did implement such a system (which I'm not fussed either way), points could be exchanged for a week / month of advert placement on Admin Loop? You could have different prices for different locations.

0 Loot Yeah, I was slightly reluctant with simply offering posts/comments because it's been done with so many other sites and whilst people use them, not many care about it enough.
Advertisements would definitely be my first choice, offering spots both on Admin Loop and maybe some partner sites.

0 Loot I think the best rewards for a point-system would be ones which "webmasters/admins" find the most difficult to obtain or do themselves. That would be a big incentive to earn points. I mentioned on ForumCoin an auction-like system to limit costs. I think I would like to see these:
1. Logo design/ banner design etc.
2. Link Building (SEOClerks/Fiverr).
3. Guest posts (SEOClerks/ Fiverr?)
4. Keyword research.
5. Advertising (perhaps you could get a good deal somewhere for a trial).
6. Install services (forums, blogs) - not for me in particular but...
7. Wordpress optimization services.
8. CDN (contact me for a relatively cheap one which you could offer).
9. Domains? (not a huge fan and I don't think too many people are interested in this).
10. Instagram/Facebook boosts (like Instagram bot time or something).

0 Loot I have been on a few boards that had this, unfortunately the Admin abused it and messed with it especially in certain things, so after that i don't care to use or take advantage of a point system or anything like that, but that hasn'r stopped me from posting on boards that have the addition. I usually just wait till i collect a whole heap then give em away

I am interested too because I think it can be something to guide Admin Loop on what to be wary of so they don't accidentally fall on these kinds of traps. We all want the experience to be good.
As for me a point system sounds fun, but I am bad coming with ideas on what we could do before implementing it. Sams suggestions were pretty interesting.
